Kate Currie
Frontend Web Developer
Kate is a highly skilled front-end web developer who has been designing and developing websites for 20 years. She's also an entrepreneur with an interest in social media marketing, website analytics and transactional and lifecycle messaging.
Kate discovered her passion and flair for web design in 1995. After working as a web designer for three years she commenced study at the University of Qld, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree. Since then she's honed her coding, development and design skills while working with companies such as QTAC, Wotif.com, Thoughtworks, Telstra Wholesale and Suncorp.
In 2011 Kate co-founded KindyPortal, an innovative online system for managing kindergarten documentation. As well as front-end development she worked on user experience design, website analytics, social media marketing, transactional and lifecycle messaging and other small business activities.
Hamish Currie
Software Developer
Hamish is a highly skilled software engineer and technical manager with 20 years experience in software development. He's also an experienced entrepreneur, skilled in a diverse range of small-business activities and applications.
Hamish graduated from the University of Qld with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree in 1995. After working as a software engineer for 18 months he co-founded Virtually Perfect, a startup providing community mailing lists. This software was quickly acquired by DejaNews who hired Hamish as Technology Leader of their Mailing List Team in Austin, Texas. While in Texas Hamish moved on to co-found Dataradar.com, a startup focussing on data harvesting.
On his return to Australia Hamish further honed his software development skills working for Oracle as a Senior Manager for their Brisbane Healthcare Development Centre and developing web application for a number of small businesses.
In 2011 Hamish co-founded KindyPortal, an innovative online system for managing kindergarten documentation. As well as backend development he worked on product design, infrastructure management, website analytics and other small business activities.
